Models Direct are proud to announce that their eleventh assignment with outdoor clothing company Columbia Sportswear has just been completed. Columbia Sportswear have returned to the modelling agency again and again to find fitting models for their clothes.

When demonstrating clothes to potential buyers, companies need to demonstrate how they look on real people rather than clothes hangers – which is where fitting models come in. This type of modelling can be a lucrative field for models, who will not have to worry about their appearance so much but will instead have to focus on their figure, since clients often require very specific measurements, including for plus, petite and big and tall sizes.

Fitting modelling includes men, women and children. For Model’s Direct’s most recent assignment with Columbia it was the children’s turn, with young models Annie and Harry being chosen.

It was the first modelling experience for eleven-year-old Harry and he thoroughly enjoyed the assignment. Models Direct asked him for some feedback as to how it went.

“I loved it. It was the first time I’d done anything like it and the people and clothes I had to try on were fantastic,” Harry informed Models Direct’s coordinator. “I loved the new experience and the fact that everyone was so nice to me the whole time I was there.”

While it was a brand new experience for Harry, twelve-year-old Annie has had plenty of experience with modelling – this was her fourth assignment with Models Direct. Here’s what she had to say about the assignment.

“I really enjoyed trying on different sportswear clothing and showing the client how it looks on,” Annie explained. “Models Direct are a really good agency to be a part of. Very efficient and helpful and always supply us with the relevant information.”

Annie told Models Direct the best thing about the assignment was wearing the warm and cosy clothes, especially the pink pieces. She was even given a hat to take home with her for working so hard. “I love being a model for the day – beats being at school!” she added cheekily.
